605. Major Robertson⁸ Dowty-Doughty (Catherine "Kitty" F.⁷ Johnson, Richard⁶, Rachel⁵ Bunting, Tamar⁴ Marshall, George³, Thomas², John¹) was born October 13, 1854. Major died November 11, 1937 in Pungoteague, Accomack Co., VA, at 83 years of age. His body was interred in Accomack Co., VA, Onancock.

He married three times. He married Bettie V. Mapp December 1, 1880. Bettie was born September 25, 1862. Bettie was the daughter of James C. Mapp and Saphronia Mears. Bettie died January 8, 1882 at 19 years of age. He married Mary "Mamie" C. Mapp in Accomack Co., VA, March 29, 1883. Mary was born April 20, 1864. Mary was the daughter of James C. Mapp and Saphronia Mears. Mary died November 22, 1891 at 27 years of age. He married Sallie A. Read October 3, 1893. Sallie was born October 22, 1870. Sallie was the daughter of Littleton D.
