48. Mary "Polly"4 Purnell (Thomas3, Thomas2, Thomas1) was born in Somerset Co., MD February 27, 1732. (Bible record) Mary died April 9, 1778 in Worcester Co., MD.

She married Charles Rackliff (II). Charles was the son of Charles Rackliff(1) and Rachel Fassitt. He made a will in Worcester Co., MD, 1783. (JW13 f.27 notes of Vernon L. Skinner)

Charles's will was probated in Worcester Co., MD, 1784. Charles named his children and also his cousin Sophia Miller, daughter of William Fassitt, to whom he left "Dont Puzzell." Her father gave her "St. Lawrence," "St. Lawrence Neck," "Mt. Ephraim," "Partnership," "Purnells Inheritance," "Patricks Choice," "Reserva," "Simpleton," "Cow Quarter," and "Addition to Cow Quarter." Her children were named by their grandother, Mary Outten Purnell, in 1772.

Mary "Polly" Purnell and Charles Rackliff(II) had the following children:

child 152 i. Charles5 Rackliff (IV). His father left him land.

child 153 ii. John Rackliff. John died 1786 in Worcester Co., MD. He made a will in Worcester Co., MD, May 13, 1786. (JW13 f.97 research of Vernon L. Skinner) John named his uncle Thomas Purnell of Wallops Neck and Aunt Sarah Purnell. His father left him "Assateague Beach," "Hammocks," and "Cows Quarter."

child 154 iii. James Rackliff. James died 1790. He made a will May 14, 1790. (notes of Vernon L. Skinner) His father left him land.

child + 155 iv. Zipporah Rackliff.

child + 156 v. Thomas Purnell Rackliff was born 1763.
