488. Sarah6 Purnell (Levi5, Levi4, Matthew3, Thomas2, Thomas1) was born about 1773.

She married John Purnell. John was born in Worcester Co., MD about 1772. John was the son of William Purnell and Sarah Rackliff. John's father left him 50 acres "Addition" and the manor plantation at "Hog Ridge." He was under age 18 in 1780 and Isaac Houston was appointed his guardian. John, with wife Sarah, sold "Addition" to Jeptha Bowen in 1796 (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Land Records, p. 8) She was named in her grandmother Brittingham's will of 1782, but not in her father's will of 1788. Thomas Dixon Purnell names a Thomas Duncan Purnell Davis, son of William Davis. William Davis was the son of Nixon Davis d. 1821 (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Co., MD Wills MH2, p.37)
