255. Sarah5 Purnell (Lemuel4, Elisha3, Thomas2, Thomas1) was born September 6, 1766.

She married Elisha Purnell in Worcester Co., MD, about 1790. Elisha was born in Worcester Co., MD about 1760. Elisha was the son of William Purnell(Col.) and Mary Robins. Elisha died before October 14, 1802 in Worcester Co., MD. Administrative bonds for Elisha Purnell Esq. of William, posted October 22, 1802 by James Selby of Eze., Zadock Sturgis and Ephraim K. Wilson. He received "Fairfield" from his father in 1794. He served as a Private, Worcester Militia, Sinepuxent Battalion, Capt. Elisha Purnell's Company, 1779/1780 (Henry C. Peden, Revolutionary Patriots of Worcester & Somerset Cos.) His children were named in the will of Littleton Robins Sr. in 1815. Elisha appears in the 1800 census 2M-10, 1M26-45, 1F10-15, 1F16-26.
