388. Zadock8 Purnell (John7, Sarah6 Marshall, Thomas5, John4, John3, Thomas2, John1) was born in Worcester Co., MD 1799. Zadock died 1841 in Worcester Co., MD, at 42 years of age. He married three times. He married Catherine Covington Dirickson in Worcester Co., MD, September 14, 1818. Catherine was the daughter of Levin Dirickson. He married Jane Bowen in Worcester Co., MD, July 25, 1825. Jane was the daughter of James Bowen. Jane died about 1836. She is not named in her father's will, nor are her children. He married Mary Hammond in Worcester Co., MD, 1837. Mary was born 1803. Mary died after 1850. A Martha Hammond, age 22, was living with Mary and Zadock in 1850. Known as "Big Zadock," he is shown as an orphan of John Purnell and John Purnell's mother was Robert Mitchell's widow August court 1809. (orphans court-transcribed by Suzanne B.
