He married Susan B. Pettit 14 Jun 1825 in Northampton Co, VA.⁽⁴⁵⁹⁾ Susan was born circa 1800. Susan was living 11 Nov 1851.⁽⁴⁶⁰⁾

Samuel was living 13 Feb 1832 in Northampton Co, VA.⁽⁴⁶¹⁾ William M. Pettit was the security on the 13 Jun 1825 N'hamp M.L.B. of Samuel P. Fisher and Susan Pettit. William Pettit was also Susan's guardian. They were married by S.S. Gunter. By 12 Mar 1833, Samuel P. Fisher was named guardian of William J. Nottingham, orphan of Samuel's sister Polly, who married Richard Nottingham (N'hamp Co Orders, 1831-36, p. 179).

Samuel P. Fisher (I) and Susan B. Pettit had the following children:
